Sustainable Yoga for Earth Day

Sometimes yoga practice energizes me, and sometimes I feel tired afterward. So, sometimes my practice replenishes my energies and at other times, it depletes them. If one of the purposes of hatha yoga (the combination of asana and pranayama) is to replenish the prana we use up in the process of living our daily lives, how can we best utilize our practice to generate energy rather than to deplete it?

Charlotte Bell discovered yoga in 1982 and began teaching in 1986. Charlotte is the author of Mindful Yoga, Mindful Life: A Guide for Everyday Practice, published by Rodmell Press. Her second book, Yoga for Meditators (Rodmell Press) was published in May 2012. She writes a monthly column for CATALYST Magazine and serves as editor for Yoga U Online. Charlotte is a founding board member for GreenTREE Yoga, a non-profit that brings yoga to schools and to underserved populations. A lifelong musician, Charlotte plays oboe and English horn in the Salt Lake Symphony and folk sextet Red Rock Rondo, whose DVD won two Emmy awards in 2010.

    I'll gear this review to two kinds of people: current Zune proprietors who are thinking about an improve, and folks attempting to make a decision among a Zune and an iPod. (There are other gamers value considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this provides you enough data to make an informed choice of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as nicely.)
