The mat is wonderful if it only were rubber on both sides.
The mat slips and slides because one side is material, not rubber. Thus we have to put an extra mat underneath this one so that it doesn't slide in downward facing dog when we press our heals strongly into the mat. You can see the mat slide under your feet and hands.
Sometimes the mat bunches up in poses too.
I initially recommended this mat to my students but the mat bunches up because of the non-sticky factor on one side of the mat.
Too bad, I really wanted to like this mat. (Posted on 5/10/13)
Best mat ever!!!

I work and teach in a yoga studio and have used most of the high end mats on the market. I ADORE this mat. It's not too heavy, doesn't smell horrible, and is about half the price of the top sellers. It's really cushy, and super grip-y. I don't think you could slip on this mat if you wanted to. :) My new-ish $90 mat has been rolled up collecting dust since I found this little gem. Every time I invite someone to try it out, they step on and say 'oooh'! (Posted on 2/13/12)
