Disappointed - no grip on the mat
I really wanted to give this mat two thumbs up, especially because it is eco-friendly and who can resist those beautiful colours? But, sadly, I am disappointed because there is no grip and even though I don't have sweaty hands, I slip like crazy in poses like Downward Facing Dog.

It could be because I have a lot of weight on my hands in this pose - after 14+ years of yoga, my heels don't meet the mat (they never will), so my work is always in taking the weight off my hands and towards the back of the mat. But this mat makes it tough for sun salutations and some other standing poses :(

I wanted to love it, but ... Disappointing
Things to love:
1. Eco-friendly - big thumbs up
2. Super light, perfect for traveling
3. The colours - iris/yellow combo is gorgeous

And yet, my hands slide and slip immediately, in Downward Facing Dog, even when my palms are dry and not sweaty. I don't know if this is because I am one of those yoginis whose Downward Facing Dog has more weight towards my hands (one of those things - my heels have never, and will never reach the earth, so this pose is all about working my weight towards my heels). Perhaps if my weight was more towards my heels, I wouldn't slip. So ... NOT good for me for vinyasa and Surya Namaskar, but all other poses are fine on this pretty, albeit costly, mat.

Love the new colors!
This is absolutely my favorite mat. I like the texture and feel while I am practicing. I do not slip, and I like the fact that it is Eco-friendly.

I love the 2 new colors...yeah!

I got this mat after trying just about every standard mat out there. Who can enjoy yoga while slipping the WHOLE time? NOT ME! This mat is absolutely PERFECT for those who tend to slip and slide all over the place. I've never slipped again while using this mat. It pretty much keeps me in place in ANY position! Thank you Hugger Mugger for introducing me to a fantastic product!
