For maximum traction, wash before first use. Clean with mat wash or a 1:20 solution of mild dish soap and water. Hang to dry.
This mat is photo-degradable. Do not store it in the sun, extreme heat, or extreme cold for prolonged periods. Exposure to sun in a hot car could cause the mat to break down.

I love this mat & every time I step on it, I feel like it is loving-me-back with its soft touch & cushiony feel. Like a cozy sweet hug from a loved one. For all the support & cushion, it is remarkably lightweight, making it an exceptional travel mat. The cushion, while feeling plush, does not inhibit balance. Likewise, the grip is solid, but gentle, it holds, but doesn’t stick. I find it positively perfect. It is also durable, and with proper care will last for thousands upon thousands of asanas. I have two Earth Elements mats now, but only because I wanted to try a new color just for fun. My first Earth Elements mat (3+ years old) is still in great shape. Thanks Hugger Mugger for your continued excellence. A small suggestion: could you expand the color selections to include some more “earthy” colors like, brown & green?

Awesome mat!
This mat is the best mat in the world! Very light, so I can take it anywhere. Very soft and thick, so my knees don't hurt. Super grippy! It's been with me for 2 years through yoga 3-5 times a week, 200 yoga teacher training. And there is no sign of wear and tear at all! I had teal color and just recently bought purple for my husband.
I wish you guys had more colors and prints for this mat.
I like the quality of this mat and the thickness . I had my last Hugger Mugger mat for several years. The only issue I’m having is one end doesn’t lay flat and keeps rolling up on me when I try to use it .
