The Standard Yoga Bolster is a great size to start with if you are new to yoga props. This multi-purpose bolster has a rectangular shape with a flat top and bottom for stability.

This bolster is a favorite for supporting the torso in reclining poses, twists, Child’s Pose, seated forward bends, and more. It can be used to elevate the hips in seated poses, Pigeon Pose, and Bridge Pose, and as a cushion in seated poses. The Standard Bolster’s flat shape balances well on top of blocks for reclining poses and Stonehenge.

Hugger Mugger bolsters are known for being firm, supportive, and soft. It all starts with a foam core, wrapped in soft cotton batting, nestled tightly inside an upholstery-grade fabric cover. All Hugger Mugger bolsters are handmade with love in the USA.

Too Hard

I want to like this bolster because it has good ratings but I really don’t. It’s too hard and thick and is not very comfortable in reclined butterfly pose. The bolsters at my yoga studio were much softer and more comfortable.

I got this HM brand bolster about 12 years ago on another site. I recently started a serious yoga practice using bolsters and took a while to find this (I knew I had it !) I had bought this brand way back bc this was what my studio used & thought it was a bit expensive BUT when I have used other bolsters not one comes close to this quality! I found my old much loved one and bought a junior one to use under my spine to open my heart area. The purples were the exact same as my old bolster! It’s rare to see a company that doesn’t cheapen their products or start having them produced overseas to make more etc! This is the only bolster I recommend & use! So glad you guys are still here!
